Hannes Lingens und Hannes Buder spielen seit 7 Jahren in verschiedenen Konstellationen zusammen und haben dabei eine eindrucksvolle, überraschende und vielfältige Klangsprache entwickelt.
Hannes Lingens (*1980 bei Hamburg), studierte von 2003 bis 2007 Schlagzeug an der Musikhochschule Dresden bei Günter „Baby“ Sommer und Michael Griener. Darüberhinaus erlernte er autodidaktisch das Akkordeonspiel. Als Musiker gilt sein Interesse den Grenzbereichen zwischen komponierter und frei improvisierter Musik. Seit 2006 lebt er in Berlin, von wo aus er mit Künstlern wie Tetuzi Akyama, Christof Kurzmann, Olaf Rupp, Matthias Schubert, Ignaz Schick, Sven-Åke Johansson und Alexander Frangenheim zusammenarbeitete. Seit 2009 ist er Teil des Musikerkollektivs Umlaut Berlin, dass als Festivalveranstalter und Label für experimentelle Musik in Erscheinung tritt.

Hannes Buder (*1978), studierte Gitarre bei Stefan Bormann in Dresden und bei Frank Möbus in Weimar. Seit 2006 lebt er in Berlin. Als komponierender und improvisierender Musiker arbeitete er mit u.a. mit Carolin Pook, Beat Freisen, Els Vandeweyer, Audrey Lauro, Lucia Martinez , dem Composers Orchestra Berlin und verschiedenen Film, Tanz und Theaterprojekten zusammen. Hannes Buders Musik spiegelt eine große Bandbreite an Einflüssen wieder, die von Neuer Musik über Jazz bis zu Grunge und Avantgarde-Pop reicht. Sein Stil bleibt dabei unverkennbar und seine Kompositionen wirken durch einen hohen Grad an Authentizität und Emotionalität.

Antje Vowinckel, organ and objects

Antje Vowinckel is a Berlin-based composer, director and performer. She produced sound art compositions and radio plays for which she was awarded several times and also presents musical solo performances.


„Organ and objects“


An impro-composition with warm and mechanical sounds and some melodic reminiscences played on an old Korg-Organ combined with slit-drum and vibrating objects in a speaker.
I got this organ from the guitar player in the band, where I played keyboards, when I was in my twenties. But the band broke up and I didn’t play for years, until I started with my sound compositions and tried out to play it in another way. I use it more as a sound source now and play melodies only as a reminiscence of old times. Something that you can hear when you open your window, and always comes with the sound of the construction in your neighbourhood.

The young promising italian female sound artists Ezramo and Penelopex are certainly about to setting landmarks in experimental music.
Ezramo’s research is focused upon the hidden archaic memory in music and upon the writing in its multiple forms.
Her main instrument is the voice, that she usually combines in a radical way with acoustic instruments and field recordings.
Raising from Bologna underground noise scene, Penelopex searches and finds her sounds in nature and city life,
transformed through custom filters and modulators into broken melodies, noise and musique concrète.
Lyrical vocals and manipulated acoustic sounds by Ezramo, transcending into Penelopex’ field recordings and drones…
appearing and disappearing. Just like a ghost.

with their project - Vinyl Terror & Horror

Camilla Sørensen and Greta Christensen met at The Royal Art Academy in Copenhagen in 2001 and have been working together since with sound as a starting point for a continuous and complex sculptural practice which includes: cars, tent constructions, campers and a huge variety of record players and sound equipment.
In the concert situation, a partly improvised narrative of sounds is performed using exclusively modified turntables and vinyl records. Cut up and mistreated records looping and creaking from dust and sloppy treatment. Pick-ups being pushed disrespectfully over grooves.

Johnny Chang A violinist and composer based in Berlin, Germany, Chang studied composition and experimental music with Michale Pisaro, Mark Menzies and James Tenney. His articulated performances have been featured in numerous festivals and series around the world, most recently Maerz Musik. Influenced by the music of Christian Wolff, Salvatore Sciarrino, and Peter Ablinger, his own compositions explore space, silence, and tone. His Microscore Project is an ongoing work featuring dozens of composers, and to date has been performed in Los Angeles, Vancouver, New Zealand, and Berlin.

Pierce Warnecke:


Pierce Warnecke has been creating digital material since his studies at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Attracted at the same time by image and sound, he develops modules to forge his own audiovisual elements. He is inspired by the interactions between humans and machines, scientific research and complex data structures. He has made it his work to develop alternate ways for sound, video, light and data to become apparent in performance/installation contexts.

He has worked as a programmer for installations and interactive projects in the US, France, Japan and Germany, and also works as a sound designer and electronic musician in Berlin where he currently resides.

To Tetsuya Hori, making music can be exhausting - but talking about it can be a real strain. Now living in Berlin, Hori has become a regular on the improvisational scene of the German capital, adding a distinct voice to the already eclectic community. What makes his approach stand out is the complete absence of any kind of superimposed concepts: "My pieces do not have a concept. That is the concept.", he says, "The concept develops in the head of the listener. I get the feedback, and the feedback influences my music and the way I see it." For those who can not witness Tetusaya in action during one of his prolific stage appearances, his latest collaborational album with Reedsman Soon Kim is an excellent point of departure. The four pieces on "Non Transposed Sense" (Konnex Recordings) are an hommage to the art of listening - listening to each other, to their instruments and the room around them - as well as a testimony to the ongoing relevance of Sound Art in a time, when sceptics consider its creative well dried-up. For Tetsuya, some of the sessions were so intense that he felt entirely depleted at the end of the day. But even that now sounds easy as he prepares for answering our questions: "I don't know how concretely I can talk as an abstract artist called the musician, but I will try", he says. Only a few minutes later, however, he has shared some highly stimulating thoughts with you.

Pierre Borel
Geboren 1987 in Paris.
Er beginnt mit 7 Jahren Saxophon zu spielen und studiert Klassik und Jazz im CNR
de Paris und dann im CNSM de Paris (conservatoire national superieur de musique),
wo er Unterricht in Arrangement,Komposition und Improvisation bekommt.
2006 zieht er nach Berlin, studiert im Jazz Institut Berlin (Masterabschluss mit
Auszeichnungen), und interressiert sich immer mehr für improvisierte Musik.
Er spielt im Trio „Luc Tonnerre“, im Sextett vom Bassisten Andreas Waelti „Transit
room“, im Oblik und gründet sein eigenes Septett, das „Pierre Borel Septett“.
Zusammenarbeit mit Tobias Backhaus, Samuel Halscheidt, Johannes Fink,
Clayton Thomas, Joel Grip, Franck Gratkowsky, Daniel Glatzel, Gerhard Gschlössl,
Ronnie Graupe, Phillip Gropper, Oliver Steidle, Hannes Lingens, Michael Vorfeld,
Derek Shirley, Chris Dahlgren, John Hollenbeck etc.

Matthias Müller
Geboren 1971, Posaunist, zog im Jahr 2004 nach Berlin.
Er spielte mit einer Vielzahl an international herausragenden Improvisatoren wie
Frank Gratkowski, Johannes Bauer, Tobias Delius, Matthias Schubert, Peter Evans,
Rudi Mahall, u. v. a.
Zudem war er mehrere Jahre Mitglied im „Deutsch-fanzösischen Jazzensemble“
unter der Leitung von Albert Mangelsdorff.
Seine CD „Bhavan“, die 2004 auf dem Label „Jazzhausmusik“ erschien, wurde
von dem Musiker und Journalisten John Corbett aus Chicago produziert.
Weitere CDs erschienen auf renommierten Plattenlabels wie „Leo-Records“,
London, „Jazzwerkstatt“, Berlin, oder „Creative Sources“, Lissabon.
Aktuell liegt sein musikalischer Schwerpunkt auf dem Duo-Projekt „Superimpose“
mit dem Schlagzeuger Christian Marien und dem Trio „The Astronomical Unit“
mit Marien und dem Bassisten Clayton Thomas.
Neben der improvisierten Musik tritt Matthias Müller auch als Interpret von
Neuer Musik in Erscheinung.
Konzertreisen führten ihn nach Indien, Nigeria, USA, Russland sowie diverse
europäische
Staaten.

Stefan Tiedje
Geboren 1956 in Stuttgart. Studierte zunächst Physik und Elektrotechnik.
Seit 1984 Beschäftigung mit algorithmischer Komposition mittels Computerprogrammen.
Seit 1986 Konzerte mit Computergesteuerten Klangquellen und Effektgeräten
im In- und Ausland.
Seit 1988 Klanginstallationen mit computergenerierten „Murmelmusiken“.
Beteiligungen an diversen Plattenproduktionen.
Preis für das Stück „This is not just a demo…“ der Zeitschrift Keyboards.
Silberner Amadeus beim Wettbewerb „Musik Kreativ“ 1993 zusammen mit Ulrich
Krieger und Marlen Liebau.
Zusammenarbeit mit diversen internationalen Künstlern (u. a. Diamanda Galas,
Richard Teitelbaum, Alvin Curran, Brian Eno, Jeffrey Burns, Karheinz Stockhausen)
Eine Solo CD „polyrische Variationen“ ist bei Badland Records in Frankreich erschienen.
2003 – 2008 Musical Assistant am CCMIX bei Paris.
2009 Klanggestaltung für Salomé am Stuttgarter Staatstheater.
Erfinder der „Ondes Memoriélles“, eines liveelektronischen Instruments.

Geboren in Konstanz am Bodensee, lebt in Berlin.
Musikstudium (Hauptfach Klarinette) in Trossingen und Frankfurt am Main.
Offene Kompositionsklasse von Prof. Gerhard Müller-Hornbach.
Spielte als Klarinettist in verschiedenen Orchestern und Ensembles (u. a. Kammeroper
Frankfurt, Schlierbacher Kammerorchester, Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden,
Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt am Main).
Organisierte Konzerte für Neue Musik in Frankfurt am Main.
Uraufführungen eigener Neue Musik-Kompositionen u. a. durch das Ensemble
Phorminx.
Anerkennungspreis des Hessischen Kompositionswettbewerbs.
Veröffentlichte unter diversen Pseudonymen Tonträger mit elektronischer Musik.
